Powerball Winner Celebrates $50,000 Win with Man's Best Friends

Nov 19, 2025

A Missouri Lottery player in Lincoln County who won a $50,000 Powerball prize on Oct. 29 is planning to celebrate with his best friends – his dogs.

"I'm a homebody. I have two dogs,” the winner shared. “I told them, ‘Well, I'll probably get you a Dairy Queen hamburger each!'”

His ticket, purchased at Mini Market, 16 S. Highway 47 in Hawk Point, matched four of the five white-ball numbers, as well as the Powerball number.

"I just don't believe it!,” he chuckled. “Nothing like that ever happens to me! Guess I can't say that anymore."

The winning numbers on Oct. 29 were 4, 24, 49, 60 and 65, and the Powerball number was 1. Powerball is a multi-state Draw Game with drawings held on Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays at 9:59 p.m. Tonight’s estimated jackpot is $593 million.

In FY25, players in Lincoln County won more than $8.8 million in Missouri Lottery prizes, retailers received more than $845,000 in commissions and bonuses, and more than $5.7 million in Lottery proceeds went to education programs in the county.
