A Missouri Lottery player knew exactly which ticket she was going to purchase when she stopped at QuikTrip, 8601 Mexico Road, in O’Fallon – though she had no idea she was about to walk away with one of the game’s top prizes of $100,000. 

“I just liked the way it scratched when I first played it,” the winner said of her “50X” Scratchers ticket. “So I thought I’d just get one of those.”

After scratching it off, she couldn’t believe what she saw. 

“I had won some little prizes before but nothing like that!” she said. “It came at the perfect time.”

Since “50X” began, players have won over $9.7 million in prizes playing the $5 game. Over $6.5 million remain in unclaimed prizes, including four more top prizes of $100,000 million and four additional prizes of $20,000. 

Players who purchased tickets in St. Charles County last fiscal year won more than $72.5 million in total Missouri Lottery prizes. Retailers received more than $6.1 million in commissions and bonuses, and education programs in the county received more than $13.7 million in appropriated Lottery proceeds.
